Things to Remember When Moving House

House moving is one of the most frantic things you do in your lifetime. The whole process of moving requires so much planning and correct carrying out to make the process bit less traumatic and stressful. Here we have compiled some checklists.

1.     Plan Beforehand

Prepare a plan for your new house. Plan beforehand the furniture placement and hand over your complete idea and plan to your mover and packers so that you both know and you don’t have to tell them everything there. Use sticky notes for the stuff with essentials of room setting and on closet doors for the mover and packers.

2.     Before Leaving

Start consuming the foodstuff in the freezer, unfilled the fridge and freezer day before the move. Call someone from friends or family to assist you with children and dealing with movers on a moving day. Make final readings of power meters and clear the dues if any.

3.     When Leaving

Make a complete final look before leaving. Leave or donate the things you don’t want to carry in your house and it’s highly suggested to do this because purging is a great option to pack less and carry less. Sort out the things that necessary for you to take along otherwise donate them generously. Activate telephone and the internet at the new place and disconnect both from the house you’re leaving.

4.     Pack Wisely

Take tips from mover and packers since they are experienced in the relevant field. Pack appropriate towels, bed sheets, and pillows separately so beds can be prepared as soon as possible. Add nightclothes for the family and required toiletries and medicines, children’s toys, laptops with their accessories and ready-to-eat food. Have organized and available fresh work dresses and school uniforms/stationaries for the next day. Pack stove setting, packed food, tea, sugar, salt, cups, plates, and spoons separately for early access while unpacking the things.

5.     Take Precautions:

Ask your mover and packers to list you the things you can’t carry. Gas cylinders and similar flasks should be emptied some days before shifting and all combustible liquids such as solvents, paint, cleaning liquids should be prepared of before the transfer. It is highly risky to transport this stuff.
